In a joint agreement, German Air Cargo Career, Lufthansa Cargo agreed to market cargo capacities of Brussels Airlines from 1st of the September this year. Both companies are perfect complements for each other. This agreement is beneficial for the customers of both airlines. Brussels Airlines customers will now be able to find a larger network with around 300 destination in 100 countries. Similarly, the route network will be further supplemented for the customers of freight crane. West, East, and Central African destinations will all be directly available from Brussels, as it serves 17 African destinations such as Abidjan, Dakar, Douala, Entebbe, Kinshasa and Monrovia.
Lufthansa Cargo is marketing cargo capacities of Brussels Airlines as the fifth airline to be marketed by this German Air Cargo Career.
Dr. Alexis von Hoensbroech, Chief Commercial Officer at Lufthansa Cargo, emphasizing on the benefits of the agreement for the custmores said, “With the integration of the cargo capacities of Brussels Airlines, the offer for our customers will become even more attractive and even larger.” Hoensbroech also said that Brussels Airlines’ African destinations are complementary to our existing network and thus ideally complement our connections.
Emphasizing benefits of the partnership, Christina Foerster, CEO of Brussels Airlines said that Lufthansa Cargo has a lot of experience in marketing the cargo capacities of passenger airlines. Christina Foerster said, “This partnership will help us to make even better use of the freight capacities of our fleet. And being European Africa specialist, we can add new destinations to Lufthansa Cargo’s offering.”
