Emirates SkyCargo has recently designed and launched a new airfreight product Emirates AOG for quick and rapid transport of aircraft parts in the world.
Every day, spare parts are delivered quickly on a short notice to help repair the aircraft that have been stranded due to technical reasons and lack of access to suitable spare parts. AS the financial and reputational impact of keeping a plane grounded at a remote location can be relatively large, carrying parts to repair an aircraft with a maximum speed is of great significance for each airline.
SkyCargo designed this product for the airlines that require to assist ground aircraft by quickly delivering critical aircraft components that are unavailable at that destinations. The main objective of Emirates by AOG is to dispatch the parts with the fastest possible flight connection without dishonouring the quality and customer services.
Some specific features of this new product are: late expiration time for acceptance of the cargo at origin up to four hours before the scheduled time for shipments weighing less than 100 kgs, delivery at the destinations within 2.5 hours form actual arrival of the aircraft, track and trace visibility of the consignment during transportation and priority handling.
Emirates SkyCargo also created a unique “must-go” bag for large AOG trucking. Designed in a remarkable red color bag, the bag assures Emirates SkyCargo employees of the urgent need for transportation, which is a prime responsibility for the transportation sector, especially during air operations.
